I think Substack Notes is a good idea. Mostly because it allows writers to connect with other writers and their subscribers directly through social media means. Twitter can do that as well, but not directly from the Substack website. However, Twitter is a much larger platform which allows you to connect to a wider variety of people and grab their attention. I just wish there was less hate speech. Why can't these platforms exist together? It's not like everyone on Twitter is switching. If we know anything, Twitter will probably remain more popular anyway. Its not like the whole world knows what Substack is.

For these reasons, I like both: Substack for the smaller crowd, Twitter for the larger crowd.
